Terms & Conditions of sale

DELIVERY

Online orders over £50 and under 30 kg will be delivered by DPD UK wide free of charge.

Online orders over 30kgs (large items) can be delivered in a 15-mile radius free of charge direct from our superstore. Alternatively, these items can be collected.

Installation services are available on request.

Delivery to the Isle of Man, Isle of Wight, Scottish Highlands & Islands, Northern Ireland or the Channel Islands may incur an extra charge — please contact us for a quotation.

We aim to process orders within 48 hours and will contact you should for any reason your item be out of stock or delayed and offer you either a new delivery date or refund.

NO QUIBBLE GUARANTEE

For your extra peace of mind, all purchases are covered by our 14-day exchange or money-back guarantee (excluding any shipping costs). If you change your mind, return the unused item(s) in their original packaging accompanied by the receipt / invoice, and we will be pleased to offer you an exchange or refund — no hassles, for your total peace of mind. We recommend that you return the goods to us using an insured carrier, as they are your responsibility until they reach us.

PRICES & VAT

All prices on the shop site are in GBP sterling and include VAT at 20%, except for gas, which is charged at 5%.

PAYMENT

Payment can be made securely using one of the following methods: credit and debits cards, including MasterCard & Visa.

GUARANTEE

All our products are guaranteed against manufacturing defects for 12 months from date of purchase, unless otherwise specified. If a fault does occur during this period, we shall arrange to have the item repaired or replaced after it has been inspected. Any delivery charges will be met after inspection of the item.

AVAILABILITY

We aim to hold all items in stock, however should an item be more popular than we expected, there may be occasional delays when ordering. If this does occur, then an advice note will be attached with your invoice. Sometimes we may experience difficulties with the supply of certain products and may therefore provide a substitute of the same or better quality at no extra cost.

PART DELIVERY / DAMAGED GOODS

All your goods should arrive in perfect condition, however, if you do receive any goods that appear to be faulty or damaged, the company must be advised within 48 hours of receipt. This applies to any items that may appear to be missing, unless stated on the invoice that the item is currently out of stock. If any items are not to be used straight away, we advise customers to check that these have been received in perfect condition and working order. The company will do everything possible to ensure your delivery arrives on time and intact, we will not accept responsibility for any additional expenses occurred due to late or incomplete deliveries.

RETURNS PROCEDURE

All goods returned must be clearly labelled and have full documentation enclosed, including reason for return. All returnable goods must be reported to the company. Goods returned without any notice will not be accepted. Carriage charges are non-refundable, unless goods are faulty or not fit for their purpose. In this case, a member of our customer services department will arrange for collection of the goods through our carrier,

These terms and conditions do not affect your statutory rights as a customer.

Price Match Promise

At Avensys we want to help save you money with our price match promise. Please read our terms and conditions with regard to price matching:

  • The product we are price matching must be brand new, identical to ours, and offered on the same terms – vouchers, cashback, trade-ins and other promotions can be taken into account on a like for like offering. Equally, the competitor must be offering at least the same length of warranty.
  • We will look to match Argos, Curry's, John Lewis, Richer Sounds and AO.com or any other reputable electrical retailer’s store or website UK price at the time of purchase.
  • The Price Match Promise applies to current models; end of line, ex-display and discontinued products may not be included.
  • If you are requiring delivery and/or installation of a product, competitors' prices will be taken into account. In the event that a competitor's delivery and/or installation charges are greater than ours, this will be taken into account and we will match the total price. We are not obliged to match a competitor's delivery and/or installation charge, as the service we offer cannot be directly compared to that of our competition.
  • The competitor must have stock ready for delivery.
  • Our staff must be able to verify the competitor’s price and stock position.
  • Cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer.
  • Please note, this offer does not apply retrospectively, a price match can only be requested at the time of purchase. Due to the frequency of price changes in the marketplace, it is therefore impossible for us to run a retrospective like-for-like comparison for the time and date the item was purchased.

  • You can place an order via our website, for collection in store. Alternatively, you can call and speak to a member of our friendly team on 01293 515050.
  • You can order via our website at any time and our phone lines are open 09.00 to 18.00 Monday to Saturday, with late night opening until 20.00 on Thursday, and 10.30 until 16.30 on Sunday.
  • If your item is in stock, your order will be ready to collect the same day. If the item you are looking for is not in stock, or you cannot find what you are looking for, then please call us on 01293 515050, and we will be happy to help.
  • Payment will be collected when you pick up your item(s) in store. We accept the following debit/credit cards: Visa, Mastercard and American Express. We also offer finance on selected products, please call for further information.
  • We currently offer home delivery on some of our products. Please see our delivery information for further details. This service is available for products ordered in store.
  • We recommend that you check dimensions before you place an order, or speak to a member of the team if you are not sure whether your item will fit.
